What expats should know before moving in Barcelona
Moving here is not like moving anywhere else, and most surprises have nothing to do with the boxes:
Parking a truck or installing a lift usually requires a permit from the City Council to occupy public space. We handle the paperwork so moving day is legal and stress-free.
The whole city is a Low Emission Zone: moving vehicles need the right environmental badge. Ours have it — no fines, no surprises.
In the Eixample and the Old Town, sofas and wardrobes often will not fit in the lift or stairwell. That is what the exterior furniture hoist is for — out through the balcony.
Gràcia, the Born and Ciutat Vella have restricted access and loading hours. We plan the route and the schedule in advance.

Do I need a permit to move in Barcelona?
Often yes — if the truck needs to occupy public space or an exterior lift is installed, the City Council requires a permit. We check your street and handle the application when needed.
How long does a move take?
A studio is usually half a day, a 1-3 bedroom flat a full day, and large homes or offices one to two days, especially with full packing and assembly. We confirm it in the assessment before the quote.
What if there is no lift, or the furniture does not fit?
We assess the access first. For narrow stairs, small lifts or bulky furniture we use an exterior furniture hoist through the balcony or window — very common in the Eixample.
Can you pack everything for me?
Yes. Full packing is our speciality: boxes, kitchenware, wardrobes, artwork and fragile items, all labelled by room so unpacking is easy.
Do you offer storage?
Yes — our own warehouse in Sant Feliu de Llobregat, 20 minutes from Barcelona. Ideal when the exit and entry dates do not match.
